Jewish Messianic Congregation of Jacksonville (JMCJ) has a Shavuot service scheduled Sunday, June 1st, at 6:30 p.m. If you're interested in visiting a local Messianic Jewish synagogue on a holiday, this would be an opportunity. Visit their Facebook page for more information and their location.
Sunday, June 1st, 9:30 p.m., JMF will host a virtual Torah study in honor of Shavuot. See the Resources page for the meeting link. Please send us a note if you're interested in joining.

Saturday, June 28th, will be our next JMF Q&A session during the after-service fellowship.
Mitzvah Monday is our weekly opportunity to give back by sprucing up the church. We clean from 6:30-9:00 p.m. as needed between discipleship classes.

Beginning June 9th, JMF Lunch and Learns will be hosted virtually each weekday from 12:30-01:00 p.m. ET. We will be learning from Pirkei Avot, a foundational text on Jewish ethics, and we will compare what we learn with the teachings of our Master.

Starting May 31st, we'd like to offer a regular opportunity to get to know JMF as a ministry and to ask Pastor Garrett any burning questions that are on your mind. Once a month, on the last Shabbat of each month, we'll offer a JMF Q&A session during our "oneg" fellowship. If you have questions about JMF, upcoming events, the Messianic Jewish movement, or any topics pertaining to our discipleship walk, this is your chance!
Starting June 9th, JMF will host a virtual fellowship time each weekday from 12:30-01:00 p.m. The link to the video meeting is on the Resources page. We will discuss a short lesson, fellowship, and pray together.
Our Jax Messianic Facebook page is not being actively maintained and has been decommissioned. Just a note and reminder to everyone that the latest updates are available here and that our Bible studies are available on Youtube.

May 24th and 25th, several local congregations will be hosting Emanuel Roro, an Israeli disciple of Yeshua and a gifted worship leader. With Heaven's help, Erika and I plan to attend the event hosted by Elim Messianic Congregation at 4:30 p.m. on May 24th. I encourage everyone to join us! For more information, please follow the links below.
FFOZ's Messiah Podcast recently interviewed Dr. Paul Sloan and Dr. Logan Williams, the creators of a brand new podcast, Jesus and the Jewish Law. The podcast focuses specifically on how our Lord's teachings and miracles should be understood in light of the Torah's ritual concerns. I've listened to the first few episodes and I learned so much already! I highly recommend it.
I mentioned during service on 05/17 a Hebrew-English printing of the four gospels as translated from Greek into Hebrew by the late professor and theologian Franz Delitzsch. This is a wonderful resource that I highly recommend. Check out the links below for more information.
During a discussion at this past weekend's service, I mentioned the following article produced by FFOZ describing the idea of the rapture from Judaism's perspective. For anyone interested, it's a great read.

A special blessing on all the mothers in our community. We love and appreciate you!
Shavuot, the Festival of Weeks, begins Sunday night, June 1st and will continue through Tuesday, June 3rd. Monday, June 2nd from 6:00-8:00 p.m. is our JMF Shavuot celebration. We'll enjoy FFOZ's HaYesod lesson for Shavuot, followed by a dairy-themed potluck. Mark your calendar and count the days!
This summer, the Union of Messianic Jewish Congregations (UMJC) is holding its annual family conference in Boston. Each summer, delegates from the member congregations vote on agenda items, including the admission of new member congregations.
I'm excited to share that JMF is one of the congregations being considered this year for admission as affiliate members of the UMJC.
What would affiliation mean for us? Affiliation lends a measure of credibility to our ministry and shows that our community is part of a wider network of peers. Affiliation also grants me access as a minister to support and counseling from more experienced leaders.
I encourage everyone to spend a little time exploring the UMJC's website and sign up for their email newsletter.
We're discontinuing the "Repaving the Romans Road" class at 6:00 p.m. on Mondays. We will take a break from the 6:00 p.m. slot for now and start another class once there is enough interest.
With the 6:00 p.m. class not currently meeting, the Mitzvah Monday cleaning time will start at 6:30 p.m. instead of 5:30 p.m. Also, Mitzvah Monday cleaning will be "ad hoc" from now on. Essentially, if we arrive for class and find that there are things we can tidy up, we'll take the opportunity.

This coming Shabbat service, we will repeat the "low key" format that we used this past service.
Remember to bring your TLV Bible or be prepared to access the TLV Bible on your phone via the mobile app or BibleGateway.com.
We've provided a handout that you can print and bring with you to service so that you can follow along. You'll find the handout on our Resources page.
Want to learn the songs we sing each week? Check out our Resources page where you can access the new JMF Songs Archive. We'll be adding songs to the archive regularly!
(We even have a recording for Psalm 67 which we plan to sing this coming Shabbat.)
It's a fact of life: there is a good chance that people will first find JMF by searching for places of worship on Google. The good news is, our JMF Google profile now reflects our most up-to-date meeting address and contact information.
Try searching Google.com for "jax messianic fellowship" and see what results you get. Let me know if you notice anything that looks incorrect.
Also, this may seem silly but would you consider leaving a positive Google review for our congregation? In a world where online reviews can make or break businesses and organizations, any little thing we can do to improve our online "public face" is worthwhile.

We're continuing Shalom Macon's "Repaving the Romans Road" series this Monday from 6:00-7:00 p.m.
Torah Club will meet at its regular time, 7:00-8:30 p.m.
Our upcoming Shabbat service on May 10th will also be our monthly Birthday Shabbat celebration.
